​The Axelrod PAC welcomes Tony Award-winner and five-time Tony Award nominee Laura Benanti as the featured artist in our 2019 Annual Gala. Laura Benanti is a highly celebrated stage and screen actress, who recently ended her critically acclaimed run on Broadway as Eliza Doolittle in Lincoln Center’s revival of My Fair Lady. On Broadway she’s appeared in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower, She Loves Me, Gypsy opposite Patti LuPone, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Into the Woods, The Wedding Singer, and Nine (starring Antonio Banderas). She’s seen regularly on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as First Lady Melania Trump as well as guest appearances on Younger, The Detour, Supergirl, Law & Order: SVU, Nashville, The Good Wife, Elementary, Nurse Jackie, The Big C, and NBC’s The Sound of Music Live.
