Saturday, April 4, 2020 5:00 pm • Cocktails, music and auction in the Grist Mill 7:30 pm • Dinner hosted in DRMS member homes TICKETS This wonderful event helps us raise funds to support the preservation and restoration of the historic mill complex, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests enjoy cocktails, dinner and live auction items. The fun starts with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. in the Grist Mill, the centerpiece of the complex. During cocktails, patrons can bid on items in the silent and live auctions.

Thursday, March 19 – Hunterdon County Nineteenth-Century New Jersey Photographers: Hunterdon County A Lecture by Gary D. Saretzky at 7:00 p.m., March 19, 2019, at Prallsville Mills, Stockton. Hosted by Artsbridge Of the approximately 3,000 different photographers who were active in New Jersey before 1900, more than 80 lived or worked in Hunterdon County, most of them in Flemington, Lambertville, Clinton, and Frenchtown.  In a slide lecture, Gary D. Saretzky will profile these pioneers, including Gideon C. Angle, Frank Z. Fritz, Edgar Greisamer, and John and Mary Sunderlin. As seen in the slides, these photographers documented the people and places of their times but, in addition, their individual histories provide insight into the social conditions of their era.  Gary D. Thursday, February 13 – Hunterdon County Prallsville Mills Speakers Series: Ditching Disposables, at 7pm STOCKTON – In May 2019, the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program awarded the Lambertville Environmental Commission a $20,000 grant, one of just four in the state at that level. The Lambertville Environmental Commission, chaired by resident Liz Magill Peer, sought this grant to support its Ditching Disposables initiative.  The Ditching Disposables project was developed to support the implementation of the city's ordinance limiting the use of single-use plastic bags, plastic straws, polystyrene foam and Styrofoam containers by businesses in the City of Lambertville passed in September 2018. The goal of the Ditching Disposables initiative is to assist residents in the adoption of this ordinance via education, communication, workshops, and certifications. Tuesday, April 16 – Hunterdon County Prallsville Mills Speakers Series: The Foundation of Stockton: Mark Zdepski at 7PM Stockton Stonecutters STOCKTON –  The quarrying of Triassic-aged brown sandstones along the Delaware River began in the Colonial period, but during and after the construction of the canals in the 1830s the industry boomed. Stockton is the location of the geological type-section that give this sandstone the name “Stockton Sandstone” in geologic reports.
