Sunday, February 9 – Somerset County     The next music program at the Vermeule Mansion will be on Sunday, February 9, at 3:00 PM. We will present North Plainfield resident violinist, Lucia Nowick. Lucia holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music, having studied at Julliard and at Rice University. Her performance will include works from the Great American Song book, and she will be accompanied by a pianist.      Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. The Mansion is at 614 Greenbrook Road, North Plainfield, NJ 07063.

Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13 -- Somerset County The Vermeule Mansion announces its participation in the annual   Weekend Journey Through the Past , a weekend tour of historically significant places in Somerset County.  Approximately 30 sites will participate in the event run by the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission, scheduled for Saturday, Oct 12th, 10-5 pm and Sunday, Oct 13th noon-4 pm.  This is the 14th year for the program. Complete information about the event and participating sites can be found at www.SCHistoryWeekend.com.    The Vermeule Mansion staff has new programs for the 2-day offering, including a visit from a direct descendent of the Vermeule family! Saturday, April 27 – Somerset County Vermeule Mansion Giant Yard Sale Saturday, April 27th, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm Rain Date: Sunday, April 28th at the same hours Street parking available Address: 614 Greenbrook Road, North Plainfield, NJ 07063     This is your chance to find the perfect item for yourself, home or office at a great price! Come to our Giant Yard Sale, hosted by the Friends of Vermeule Mansion, Inc. (FOVM). All kind of items are being sold - from china, to kitchen appliances, clothing to home decor.     We'll be promoting our vendors on our Facebook event page We even have a few direct sales vendors participating, too. So "Like" our FB page and watch for updates.    Hungry??? Friends of Vermeule will have coffee and breakfast snacks and hotdogs for sale at lunch starting around 11:30 am.
