The Monmouth Museum is pleased to present, Art & Healing: expressions of trauma and gratitude . This exhibition highlights the role of how making art can be part of the healing and recovery process after a diagnosis of cancer. The paintings, sculptures, photography, and mixed media work of the eight artists in this exhibition embody their individual response to their cancer experience. As part of the exhibition, each artist tells, in brief statements, how their diagnosis affected their artwork. The Monmouth Museum invites the community-at-large to share the artist’s experience of cancer; an experience that affects one in four people.
