Monday, September 16 – Monmouth County      On Monday, September 16, 2019, at 7:00 pm the Middletown Township Historical Society will present   "The Development of the Women's Suffrage Movement."  Independent historian and author Brian Armstrong will recount the events that resulted in the 19 th  Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. Key players and organizations of the movement will be highlighted.      The event will begin at 7:00 pm at the Middletown Township Public Library at 55 New Monmouth Road on Monday, September 16, 2019 in the Community Room. All are welcome free of charge. Monday, July 15 -- Monmouth County 7:00 pm:  "Joshua Huddy: A Revolutionary Life" presented by John Fabiano   The Middletown Township Historical Society hosts John Fabiano as he recounts  the tumultuous life of Joshua Huddy, a local patriot of the American Revolution. Huddy's impacts on the Revolution will be examined, including the events that led to the "Asgill Affair."  Mr. Fabiano is the Executive Director of the Monmouth County Historical Commission. The event will begin at 7:00 pm at the Middletown Township Public Library at 55 New Monmouth Road on Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Community Room. All are welcome fre e of charge. Head over to Middletown Library on March 27 at 7pm for a free talk about Springsteen from the guest curator of our upcoming exhibi tion 'Springsteen: His Hometown', Melissa Ziobro. Ziobro has been given unfettered access to the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University for the exhibition so it should make for an interesting night! 'Springsteen: His Hometown' is scheduled to open at our Museum in Freehold in September 2019.
