Museum Musings Lebanon Township Museum Updates Museums from around the world are beginning to share their collections online to help share beauty and knowledge while fighting shelter-in-place boredom. We wanted to contribute to the cause! You can now download and enjoy three different "boredom busters" from our  website.  We hope you enjoy them in good health! If you didn't get a chance to see our Threading the Needle exhibit, now you can  view it online!  Over 30 handmade quilts were made specifically for this display and other fascinating objects from the Museum's and borrowed collections rounded out the show. Once upon a time, Lebanon Township Junior Girl Scout Troop 430 led other troops in creating a coloring book based on the history of Lebanon Township and they named it “Once Upon a Township.” Now you can download this  coloring book  to learn and color, too! February 1 to March 28 – Hunterdon County     The Lebanon Township Museum is pleased to announce a two-month celebration of 100 Years of Women's Suffrage with a multi-faceted exhibit and a number of exciting and informative events. Below is a list of the line-up for both February and March. Please mark your calendars and join us in honoring this historic centennial!      100 YEARS OF SUFFRAGE: A Celebration in Quilts created by  The Courthouse Quilters  on display from February 1st through March 28th. The Courthouse Quilters are a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose purpose includes preserving and promoting the history of quilting and supporting charitable activities.     Opening Reception with special guest Rielly Karsh of Moms Running Saturday, February 1st from 1-3 pm. Saturday, January 11 – Hunterdon County Join the  Lebanon Township Museum  this January when the walls of the historic schoolhouse will once again be adorned with  student artwork!    Third graders in Nicole Newcomb's class have created magical Northern Lights landscapes that will fascinate and delight. Alex Maxwell's Woodglen Art Club students have masterfully created Teachers' portraits out of colorful M&M candies. You can look, but don't taste! An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, January 11th from 1-3 pm. Meet the young artists and enjoy their talented works of art. Saturday, December 14 – Hunterdon County Support the Lebanon Museum as well as local artists while enjoying original watercolors by the Musconetcong Watercolor Group (the show has been extended by popular demand!) at our Holiday Shop Open House on Saturday, December 14th from 12-4pm.  57 Musconetcong River Road, Hampton Not sure what to get the bus driver? How about a Lebanon Township mug with a gift card to a local coffee shop? Welcome the new neighbor with a set of unique local ornaments. Books, notecards, magnets, pottery, canvas bags and more are all for sale!
