An Evening of Entertaining History The Borrows Mansion, 94 Main Street, Matawan, NJ 07747 March 23, 2020, 7:30 pm JOIN ME FOR AN EVENING OF ENTERTAINING HISTORY As the producer and host of a weekly television series called Raritan Bayshore Living (shown on Comcast and the Internet), I have grown to genuinely love sharing the local beauty and colorful history of our area to help people understand and appreciate the relics and spirits of the past which surround them.  Today, more than a million people every year see my television programs of travelogues and historical documentaries. This weekly program -- available to Comcast subscribers in Toms River, Ocean, Monmouth and Union Counties -- has featured episodes on the Revolutionary War, tours of local towns and villages, interviews with newsmakers and celebrities, walking tours and many other subjects. Wondrous Winter Walks @ Freneau Woods Freneau Woods Activity Center Parking Lot 360 Monastery Ln, Aberdeen, NJ 07747 Thursday, February 19, 2020, from 10:00-11:30 AM (all ages, under 18 with adult)   Nature walks are like snowflakes, each one is unique in its own way. Tag along with a Park Naturalist as you explore the serenity that is nature in the wintertime. Please wear appropriate Winter clothes and sturdy footwear.

A Walk in the Woods at Freneau Woods (adults) Freneau Wds Pk Vis Ctr Parking Area 360 Monastery Ln, Aberdeen Township, NJ 07747 Tue, Aug 20, 2019, 10:00-11:00 AM (approx.)  Join a Park System Naturalist for an easy walk at Freneau Woods, a 196-acre park that is comprised mostly of woodlands and fields, and located along the headwaters of Matawan Creek and Lake Lefferts. Delve into stories of a forest recovering from centuries of change while soaking up the sounds of nature and basking in the area’s beauty. Our walk will be peppered with several stops along the way as we learn about the plants, animals, geology and rich human history of this special region. Please wear comfortable shoes, sneakers or boots that can get dirty or muddy. One Session $8 Per Person

Join a Park System Naturalist as we learn to identify common wild edibles, their medicinal properties, and the uses of a number of other common plants that can be found right here in Monmouth County. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. One Session $10 Per Person

Sunday, June 16 - Matawan, Monmouth County Open House The Matawan Historical Society will be holding an open house on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Burrowes Mansion located at 94 Main Street, Matawan, NJ. Join a Park System Naturalist to learn to identify animal tracks. Everyone will get to make and take home a casted animal print. One Session $12 Per Person
