We will keep the holiday lights on late to offer a special “Morven After Dark” tour with our Deputy Director and Curator Beth Allan, who will share some of the more “decorated” stories of Morven’s residents not usually told on our traditional site tours (what former resident was known as "Merv Griffin before there was Merv Griffin?") Saturday, June 29  - Morristown, Morris County Under the Floorboards: The Hidden Parts of the Vail House Join a special behind the scenes tour of the Historic Vail House basement, and learn about historic preservation and the future plans for the Vail House. Tours at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm. A grandson of George and Louisa Macculloch, Henry William Miller (1836-1904), a graduate of the Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1853, served on the USS Mohican at the battle of Port Royal and participated in the blockade of Charleston, South Carolina during the Civil War.
