Round Staten Island Cruise                                                                  ROUND STATEN ISLAND CRUISE on the Mariner Departing Saturday, JULY 11 th  at 8:00am from Atlantic Highlands Marina NMHA and Classic Boat Rides are offering a Round Staten Island Cruise on the good ship  Mariner  on July 11th. At  0800  the  Mariner  will leave the dock at ATLANTIC Highlands and return at approx. 1600 (4pm).  Only the first 24 passengers  and guests  can participate in this day-long adventure. Captain Dan and Leader Rik will provide commentary of the sights as we circumnavigate this historic island that became part of NYC in 1898. It's official:  R IVER  R ANGERS SM  is back for 2020! The Governor has declared that day camps may resume from July 6th so NMHA is pleased to announce its award-winning River Rangers program for 2020.   REGISTER your kids/grandkids (age 10-14)  for a week of open-air paddling fun on the Navesink. REGISTER your kids/grandkids (age 10-14)  H ERE for JULY 27-31  for a week of open-air paddling fun. Click on your choice to register:  August 3-7   or  August 10-14 Put them on the water in colorful  R iver  R angers   wooden canoes for five mornings of exploring the Navesink and Swimming Rivers! A SPRING EVENT - THE NMHA ZEN RIVER CRUISE DATE CHANGE Departing Saturday,  JUNE 13 th  at 8:30am, Atlantic Highlands Marina The May cruise date has been changed to  JUNE 13th  because in mid-May the announced the gathering rules were too restrictive for an enjoyable cruise.  The Governor recently announced  relaxed rules on gatherings  so that NMHA can CONFIRM that the Zen cruise WILL TAKE place on June 13th. Right now there are 19 confirmed passengers and we can accommodate 24 (out of a boat capacity of 40)  so there are FIVE space open if you want to register . Please note: 1. Bring your own breakfast (no liquids). 2.  Wear a mask , except when eating. 3. Observe social distancing where possibl e. Complimentary coffee and tea will be available onboard. Water and other beverages will be available at the on-board cash bar. And, yes, the bathrooms will be open! At a recent NJ Economic Development Agency conference a state solar expert told Rik van Hemmen: “If you can fit rooftop solar you would be crazy not to do it” This may be one of the first times Rik was told he was not crazy since his roof had already been solar for two years!
