The purpose of the fair is to build community, and features delicious food, a beer tent, rides, wheels and games of chance, adult and children'€™s games, hourly entertainment, displays from local vendors. The Carnival concludes with the drawing of the Super 50/50, one of the parish and school'€™s largest annual fundraisers. Carnival days and times are: Friday, September 13th 5-11pm, Saturday, September 14th 3-11pm, Sunday, September 15th 12-5pm. Fireworks on the 14th after dark (around 8:30PM). Goschenhoppen is one of the oldest continuously existing Pennsylvania German communities in America. Their annual festival showcases the daily life of the Pennsylvania Germans in the 18th and 19th centuries. Over 500 volunteers, dressed in period clothing, use authentic tools to recreate traditional home skills, trades, pastimes, foods, and folk music.  Learn about the Antes Plantation on Friday between 12:00 noon and 8:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Enjoy the authentic interpretation of the Pennsylvania German folk culture. Become a part of and learn the traditions, skills, and trades of the Pennsylvania Germans.
