Thursday, September 12 -- Cape May County Dick and Becky Stanislaw present "What We Were Singing in 1879"    Drs. Dick & Becky Stanislaw explore the music that was popular the year the City of Ocean City was founded. Surprisingly, many of the tunes are still known after 140 years.   Rutherford B. Hayes, a Civil War veteran, was president, so songs from that era were popular. Stephen Foster had recently died and we knew his music. The American West was being explored, so we sang cowboy songs. Gilbert and Sullivan visited the U. S. in 1879, mostly for the purpose of protecting their copyrights because everyone was using their music.    Come sing along and surprise yourself with memories and familiar tunes. Thursday, September 5 – Cape May County Ocean City . On September 5th Ken Cooper and John Loeper will conduct a  picture exchange where attendees are encouraged to bring in their personal pictures of Ocean City  so the group can share the images and the stories behind them.

Thursday, August 29 – Cape May County Lecture on Native American Artifacts presented by Reggie Regensburg. Aug 29, 2019, 7:00 PM  at the Ocean City Public Library. Thursday, August 22 -- Cape May County Grace Kelly at the Cinema , presented by Al Crescenzo. Al will focus on Grace Kelly's career as an actress and feature clips from some of her more famous roles. Ocean City Museum, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City. 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 13  - Ocean City, Cape May County Antiques and Collectibles Fair The  Ocean City Historical Museum (OCHM)  is sponsoring its annual Antiques and Collectibles Fair on Saturday. The show is open to the public free-of- charge, but donations are gratefully accepted to help underwrite the museum's mission and programs. The show is located in the air conditioned Community Center at 1 735 Simpson Avenue,  Ocean City, NJ. Show hours are 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Many of the previous year's dealers will be returning and offering a wide variety of antiques and collectibles including glassware and china, antique jewelry, small furniture, antique paper goods and books, antique toys, country collectibles, and Shore-related items.
