Monday, January 20 – Morris County New Exhibit: Surveying the New Jersey Landscape Opens January 20, 2020 January 20, 2020, to June 14, 2020 New Jersey’s beautiful and varied landscapes give its residents many reasons to celebrate. The Garden State’s backdrop is a colorful, diverse scenery – from the Great Swamp, to the coastal Jersey Shore, to the mountain ranges. Its natural features have drastically shaped the lives of the people who have inhabited the area for thousands of years. But how have people interacted with this land over time? Historic maps, surveying tools, and other accounts provide the keys to better understanding our relationship to our environment. Explore the powers of wild creatures in LSC's new adventure for young learners! Opens Feb. 1 On Feb. 1, 2020, LSC welcomes a brand new adventure for young learners —  Wild Kratts: Creature Power! Based on the popular PBS Kids series,  Wild Kratts  is all about discovering wild creatures' unique "creature powers." Your creature adventure begins at the Wild Kratts HQ and continues through five distinct habitats. Slip through underbrush like a jaguar, swing through trees like a monkey, and hang on a rope like a sloth in the Tropical Rainforest. Learn about Australian kangaroos, platypuses, and koalas. Become an Antarctic penguin and slide off an ice shelf, peer underwater, and balance on an ice floe. February 1 to March 28 – Hunterdon County     The Lebanon Township Museum is pleased to announce a two-month celebration of 100 Years of Women's Suffrage with a multi-faceted exhibit and a number of exciting and informative events. Below is a list of the line-up for both February and March. Wednesday, February 5 – Passaic County Black History Exhibit Explores the Achievements of Patersonians     The Paterson Museum is excited to announce the opening of its newest changing exhibit,  “Thus Shall They Upward, Onward Press: An Exploration of the History of African Americans in Paterson from 1600-Present .”     Installed in honor of Black History Month, the exhibit is a survey of the accomplishments of many of Paterson’s African American citizens. The exhibit will feature some familiar citizens, such as Larry Doby,  but visitors will also learn about some individuals like Dr. Norman Cotton , Minerva Miller and Henry Otis Harris who also made an impact on our community. The exhibit will be in place from Wednesday, February 5 th  through Saturday, March 28 th  in the Hannah Memorial Gallery. A ll summer – Morris County Summer 2019 Special Exhibits at  Morristown National Historical Park Special Items on Loan -  “Ingenuity in the Face of Adversity” at the Jockey Hollow Visitor Center “The Ties That Bind” from Bethel Church of Morristown; at the Washington’s Headquarters Museum Free Admission   Morristown National Historical Park (NHP) is pleased to announce its  summer 2019 special exhibits available for public viewing at both its Jockey Hollow Visitor Center and its Washington’s Headquarters Museum.  Morristown NHP’s Washington’s Headquarters Museum is located at 30 Washington Place, Morristown, New Jersey 07960. The Jockey Hollow Visitor Center is at 586 Tempe Wick Road, Morristown, New Jersey 07960. The summer hours for both buildings are Wednesday-Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
