ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE FUNDRAISER - GET A PERSONAL CALL FROM LIGHTKEEPER “BUDDY” ON MOTHER’S DAY Atlantic City’s very own “Buddy” Grover, will call you or your Mother on Mother’s Day weekend. Buddy has been serving as a volunteer Lightkeeper at the top of Absecon Lighthouse since 2009 and is beloved by residents of Atlantic City and lighthouse visitors. This year, you may not be able to visit your Mom or take her to a special dinner, and we would like to do something just for her. To celebrate Mother’s Day, and raise critical funds for Absecon Lighthouse, Buddy will personally call participants of this fundraising promotion on Saturday, May 9 th , and Sunday, May 10 th , between the hours of Noon to 3pm. The donation is $10 for a Mother’s Day greeting and heartfelt hello, and $20 for a Mother’s Day greeting and five-minute chat. Donors can always give more from the heart in honor of their special Mother, and to further aid the lighthouse in our time of need. Re...

Sunday, January 18 - Atlantic City, Atlantic County Absecon Lighthouse Turns 163! Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey's tallest, will host a Birthday Celebration to honor the 163rd birthday of the lighthouse on Saturday with free climbs from 11:00 am - 3:30 pm. If you truly want to "DO AC," then don't miss this opportunity to experience a 360-degree view of Atlantic City's sparkling skyline, and wish a Happy Birthday to Atlantic City's oldest historic structure, as well as the country's third tallest lighthouse. Absecon Lighthouse is a state-owned historic property administered by the non-profit Inlet Public/Private Association. Saturday, December 7 – Atlantic County ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE PRESENTS “LUMINARY LIGHT FESTIVAL” ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 TH      "Luminary Light Festival" is being held at Atlantic City's beacon of light on Saturday, December 7 th  from 5 to 7pm.  This popular southern holiday tradition illuminates neighborhoods by placing candles in white bags and placing them along streets and sidewalks for all to enjoy. Saturday, September 28 – Atlantic County NORTH BEACH ATLANTIC CITY TO HOST FALL PUMPKIN PATCH EVENT      Absecon Lighthouse will host North Beach Atlantic City’s First Annual Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, September 28 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, September 29. North Beach AC will host a fun-filled day offering free pumpkins and activities to the residents of Atlantic City, limiting one pumpkin per household with proof of residency.  The North Beach AC partners - Ocean Casino Resort, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Resorts Casino Hotel, Steel Pier, Made Atlantic City Chocolate Bar, The Iron Room, Rhythm & Spirits, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall, Absecon Lighthouse and Showboat Atlantic City - will also have a Pumpkin Contest via the North Beach AC Instagram page. Thursdays, July and August – Atlantic County ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE IN ATLANTIC CITY HOSTS FREE YOGA CLASSES ON THURSDAY EVENINGS Absecon Lighthouse will be open every day July and August, from 10am to 5pm, and  Thursdays until 8pm , with the last climb 1/2 hour before closing. Adding to the excitement is FREE YOGA at 6pm on Thursdays (beginning July 11), instructed by the Orange Loop’s “The Leadership Studio.” BYOM – bring your own mat!    Parking, exhibits & Keeper’s Cottage museum are free. Admission to climb the 228 steps to the top is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $6 for children 4-12, and $5 for Atlantic City residents; active military are free. Dogs on leashes are welcome on the two-acre lawn and in the museum space; water is always available on the porch. First lit in 1857, Absecon Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey and the third tallest in the country. It is the oldest man-made structure in Atlantic City, boast...

Wednesday, August 7 – Atlantic County ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE CELEBRATES NATIONAL LIGHTHOUSE DAY, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 TH,  WITH FREE CLIMBS FOR KIDS 12 & UNDER, AN AFTERNOON LAWN ACTIVITY PARTY & SUNSET WINE TASTING WITH LIVE MUSIC Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest, and the country’s third tallest Lighthouse, will be celebrating National  Lighthouse Day on Wednesday, August 7 th .  Kids up to 12 years old are invited to climb the lighthouse for FREE (must be accompanied by an adult)  from 10am to 5pm, the last climb at 4:30pm.  Activities on the 2-acre lawn from 1-4pm include badminton, corn hole, ladder ball, Frisbee throwing & to cool off, run through a 30-foot sprinkler. Bring a lawn chair & hang out with the kids!  From 3:30 to 5pm, we’ll fill you in on the Ghosts of the Lighthouse with personal stories and paranormal evidence provided by NJ Researchers of Paranormal Evidence. But let’s not forget the grown-ups! Enjoy a ...
