Are there any costs? 3.   If someone wants to film at my house, what does it pay and what is involved? 4.   Besides financial, are there other benefits to listing my property at HCFC? 26 ACTS, 130 MUSICIANS CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS FOR 8TH ANNUAL LAMBERTVILLE FUNDRAISER The Lambertville Historical Society’s eighth annual Holiday CD, with songs by 26 local acts comprised of 130 musicians, is now available. The special edition CD, “Season’s Greetings from Lambertville 2019,” is a fundraiser for the Society and the James Marshall House Museum.   This year’s compilation, the biggest to date, offers 26-holiday songs that showcase the quality and spirit of Lambertville’s artists. There are well-known carols and standards, as well as original compositions in a variety of styles and moods. The contributing musical acts are 4-SHES, Barry Peterson, Brad Staudle and the Five Wise Men, Cafe Mocha, Chris Chadwick, Christopher Howatt, Deva Troy, Laurie Vosburg & the Fa La La La La's, Lonesome Coyote, Mark Wilber Stewart, Mike Pfeiffer and The Big Tree Band, Pyrenesia, Richard Jarboe, Santa P and the Elves, South Hunterdon Regional High School Chamber Ensemble, Singular...

Hunterdon County - Lambertville - From Saigon to Lambertville

Saturday, November 9 (and November 16) -- Hunterdon County From Saigon to Lambertville with Sandy Hanna Presentation on Saturday, November 9 2:00-3:00 pm and again on November 16, 2:00-3:00 pm Tour the exhibit at your leisure November 10 and 17, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Marshall House, 60 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Free, $5 suggested donation. Longtime Lambertville resident Sandy Hanna will discuss living in Vietnam from 1960-1962 and present extraordinary artifacts (vintage Vietnamese clothing, revelatory political documents and miscellanea) and paintings.  This special event at Marshall House is based on Sandy's memoir, “The Ignorance of Bliss: An American Kid in Saigon,” published earlier this year. Due to limited space in the Marshall House, RSVP required to  info@lambertvillehistoricalsociety.org .

Sunday, October 27 – Hunterdon County HALLOWEEN WALKING TOUR OF LAMBERTVILLE   Sunday, October 27 - 2 p.m.      A special walking tour of Lambertville will highlight our town’s favorite holiday - Halloween! Join Lambertville residents Bambi Kuhl and Lou Toboz, who is also Lambertville's town historian, as they share famous Lambertville tales and lore and stroll past homes decorated for Halloween.   FREE to members! Suggested donation of $5.00 for non-members. Meet at 2 p.m. at the Marshall House Museum 60 Bridge St. The Halloween tour takes approximately 1 ½ hours.  Become a member of Lambertville Historical Society!

Hunterdon County - Lambertville - Lambertville Antique Quilt Exhibit

July 6 – Hunterdon County Lambertville Antique Quilt Exhibit The Lambertville Historical Society will host a special exhibit of antique quilts at James Wilson Marshall House, featuring a lecture by expert Dana Balsamo. In an intimate, historic setting, the exhibit will showcase rarely displayed quilts, such as the 1843 sampler “Dilts Quilt” that includes many hand-signed ink and stamped signatures and small pictures, the 1843 King’s Crown Friendship Quilt that includes many signatures from the Lambertville area, and the Friendship Star/Rittenhouse Marriage Quilt circa 1852.  For the first time, the Victorian linen “splasher” (hand towel) made for Ashbel Russell Welch by his mother will be displayed, accompanied by documentation tracing ancestry to Senator John Lambert. In her lecture, Balsamo will discuss and examine quilts of Lambertville and Hunterdon County, as well as highlights from her private collection, on July 6 from 1:00-2:00 p.m., and reprise the same presentation on Jul...

Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28 – Hunterdon County       The Lambertville Historical Society will participate in Shad Fest 2019 with historic walking tours of the City the weekend of Saturday, April 27 & Sunday, April 28.  Saturday’s tour is geared toward children while Sunday’s will be a traditional tour . Meet at the Marshall House Museum (left) at 2 pm and allow approximately one hour. Suggested donation is $5 but members are free.     The 1816 James Wilson Marshall House Museum at 60 Bridge Street, Lambertville will be open both days from 1–4 p.m. It was Marshall’s 1848 discovery of gold at Sutter’s Mill that sparked the California gold rush .   Call 609-397-0770 or visit www.lambertvillehistoricalsociety.org for more information.
