Mercer County - Hightstown - "Antique Show and Tell"

Thursday, October 24 – Mercer County An "Antique Show and Tell" will be held at the Hightstown East Windsor Historical Society on Thursday, October 24 at 5 p.m. A family is limited in bringing three items. Charge for the first object is $20, $15 for the second object, and $10 for the third object. The society will be providing refreshments. Gene Pescucci, a local antique dealer, will be presenting the program. The Antique Roadshow and Christmas Tea will be at the Historical Society 164 North Main Street.

Wednesday, April 3 – Union County Westfield Historical Society’s April First Wednesday Luncheon – Appraising Fine Art & Antiques As part of The Westfield Historical Society’s  First Wednesday Luncheon  series, Donna Thompson Ray will be speaking on the topic of  Appraising Fine Art & Antiques  on April 3, 2019. The event will begin with check-in at 11:45 am at the Echo Lake Country Club, located at 515 Springfield Avenue, Westfield.      Donna Thompson Ray is a history educator and fine art appraiser. A doctoral candidate in American history at Drew University, her scholarly work and appraisal practice includes the study of African-American art, American art, photography, and nineteenth-century American visual culture. She is the owner of ATFA Appraisals in Westfield, New Jersey, and the immediate past president of the American Society of Appraisers’ northern New Jersey chapter.  Ms. Thompson Ra...

Saturday, March 23 -- Ocean County Appraisal Fair $$$  Have you ever wondered how much that keepsake, family heirloom, or antique gathering dust is worth?  Now you can find out when the Lacey Township Historical Society hosts Marilyn Melega and company from Old and New Legacies . Admission is only $5.00 at the door and will include a tour of the museum, light refreshments, and the appraisal of one item.  Additional items may be appraised for $5.00 each or $15.00 a collection.  The event will take place at 126 South Main Street in Forked River, Old school House Museum, Route 9, behind Mrs. Walker's Ice Cream Shop. This series enlightens participants on topics relating to antiques and material culture.
