Saturday - Sunday, September  28 - 29  - Pennsville, Salem County 15th Annual Historic Soldiers Weekend Historic Soldiers Weekend is a historical encampment, featuring reenactors, and their equipment, from every American conflict, spanning from the French and Indian War to the Vietnam War. In some instances, both sides of the conflicts will be present, such as the Revolutionary War loyalists and "redcoats", Civil War confederate units, and WWII German infantry units. Hours for Saturday are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Admission is free. Re-enactment units will be camping out for the weekend at Historic Fort Mott, living as their ancestors did. Journey back in time to give yourself and your children, students and guests a chance to see, hear and touch real history through the life of a typical soldier during the French & Indian War, Civil, World Wars and beyond. Cape May County - Cape May - Revolutionary War Encampment at Historic Cold Spring Village

Saturday - Sunday,  September 7 - 8   - Cape May, Cape May County Revolutionary War Encampment at Historic Cold Spring Village Authentically clad and equipped Continental, Loyalist and Hessian reenactors bring the American Revolution to life on the grounds of Historic Cold Spring Village on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm. The event will feature encampments, weaponry, and demonstrations from living history groups, including Continentals, Loyalists, and Hessians Children can search the Village for clues in the Cold Spring Patriot Spy game on both Saturday and Sunday. Historian Mike Kochan will be in character as Benjamin Franklin demonstrating some of Franklin's famous inventions and experiments. Visitors can also experience an artillery demonstration both days at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Ocean County - Brick Twp - Annual Civil War Encampment

Saturday-Sunday, August 3-4 – Ocean County Photo left: Jim Heine from the 61st NY Regiment.      The Brick Township Historical Society will host the 61st New York Regiment for its Annual Civil War Encampment on August 3 and 4 at its Havens Homestead Museum property , 521 Herbertsville Rd, Brick. Visiting hours are 10 am to 4 pm on August 3 and 10 am to 2 pm on August 4. Free admission; donations gratefully accepted.      The soldiers will camp out for the weekend, march, fire guns, give demonstrations and interact with the public. Society members will give tours of the museum.  There will be specials in the Lizzie Herbert Gift Shop, and there will be a large bake sale, also featuring jars of preserves.    Parking is in a lot 150 ft. east of the museum, accessed by a sign that says, "Havens Farm."    For more information: www.bricktownshiphistoricalsociety or call 732-785-2500.

Saturday - Sunday,  June 1 - 2  - Farmingdale, Monmouth County 10th Annual Civil War Encampment Children Friendly Event & Site Join the Historic Village at Allaire as we welcome the Civil Skirmish and Encampment Group to our grounds as they re-enact life during the Civil War. Travel back in time this year as "The Actions at Rural Plains" is reenacted throughout various areas of the village. The Battle of Totopotomoy Creek (also known as the Battle of Bethesda Church) and Rural Plains (the Shelton House) in Hanover, Virginia are the backdrop as Generals Grant and Lee's troops meet on the battlefield, May 28-30 in 1864. Saturday-Sunday, April 6-7 – Morris County Grand Encampment at Jockey Hollow Morristown National Historical Park hosts its largest special event of the year Free Admission     Morristown, NJ –  Jockey Hollow will come to life on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th as reenactors from across the Northeast arrive for the park’s Grand Encampment. The special event focuses on the life and times of soldiers and civilians during the Revolutionary War. It's an event full of activities for the whole family.     Highlights for the weekend include demonstrations in-camp of cooking, sewing, and other camp chores, military maneuvers and musket firing, and a special “children’s muster,” where children can learn to drill and march like Revolutionary soldiers.    The event opens at 10 am each morning and concludes at 4 pm each afternoon.   The schedule is as follows: Saturday, April 6th ·      ...
