It's official:  R IVER  R ANGERS SM  is back for 2020! The Governor has declared that day camps may resume from July 6th so NMHA is pleased to announce its award-winning River Rangers program for 2020.   REGISTER your kids/grandkids (age 10-14)  for a week of open-air paddling fun on the Navesink. REGISTER your kids/grandkids (age 10-14)  H ERE for JULY 27-31  for a week of open-air paddling fun. "Step Into History" Summer Camp REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! June 22-26, 2020 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Join the Colonial Dames of New Jersey (NSCDA-NJ) for a week of colonial fun! Children will be able to immerse themselves in colonial culture and learn about a life without wifi, tablets, and tv. Campers will experience the life of colonial children by interacting with Molly Pitcher herself, cook an outdoor colonial meal, learn period games, play with farm animals, and many more fun-filled activities.  This one-week summer camp is for children ages 7-14 and will take place at Peachfield, the 18th-century farm property owned by the NSCDA-NJ in Westampton, New Jersey. Summer Youth Programs Are Back at the Red Mill! This year we are offering a summer of fun and learning with two fantastic themed day programs offered over four weeks. Both our Nature Program and History Program provide a fun and safe environment for kids to learn through games, hands-on activities, and crafts. You will go home will all sorts of treasures! These programs run for four weeks this summer (June 22-26, July 6-10, July 20-24 and August 17-21).   Children ages 7-12 are welcome and will be divided into groups by age (7-9 and 10-12). REGISTER your children/grandchildren (age 10-14) for the award-winning  River Rangers SM  program TODAY!  Put them on the water in colorful wooden River Rangers canoes to explore the Navesink and Swimming Rivers and Shadow Lake. July 30, August 6 – Cape May County Museum Kids Club Offers Summer Fun CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - The Museum of Cape May County will celebrate Summer of 2019 with a club created especially for kids.      It’s time to “Rock ‘n’ Roll” on July 30, at 11 a.m. when we learn about Cape May diamonds. Enjoy a story about Cape May diamonds, with a discussion about Cape May diamonds including a comparison of polished and unpolished stones. A rock polisher will also be on display. Children will be able to make a Cape May diamond pendant. Cost is $15 per child, space limited to 12 children.     On August 6, kids can celebrate National Lighthouse Day by taking an adventure beneath the sea. “Of Shipwrecks and Mermaids” will offer an exciting look at what lurks on the bottom of the ocean. After a story about mermaids and shipwrecks, children will tour of The Museum’s incredible shipwreck exhibit as well as visiting the 1859 fi...

COLONIAL SUMMER CAMP June 24 - June 28, 2019 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.      A one-week summer camp for children ages 6-14 will take place at Peachfield, the 18th-century farm property owned by the NSCDA-NJ in Westampton, New Jersey. The focus of the camp experience will be historical as reflected through the everyday life of children in the 18th century.    Meet a real blacksmith at our 4th annual Colonial Summer Camp. Shear a sheep, clean and spin the fleece. Visit with chickens, goats and bunnies, spin wool on an authentic spinning wheel, and cook over an open pit as Colonials did hundreds of years ago. Learn calligraphy, paint a picture of a sandcastle and make soap. Learn how to weave baskets and make a quilt.
