Visit Tuckerton Seaport, if you dare, for a frightastic adventure known in local lore as Haunted Seaport. Haunted Seaport will take place on Thursday through Sunday, October 17 – 20 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm each night (the last admission will be at 8pm or earlier depending on capacity). Pirates and Sea Captains long lost at sea will stroll the Seaport’s boardwalk for a night of screams. Climb aboard a hayride for a ghostly howling good time through the Haunted Woods. Be on the lookout for the Jersey Devil.
We will also have a non-scary Family Fun Activity Area with crafts, stories, games, and not so scary fall activities. You will not want to miss any of the fantastic phenomenal hauntings of the evening. Food will be available.
Anyone under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday, June 9 – Somerset County Save the Date for a visit with an  18th-Century Surgeon-Dentist      Let us be clear: George Washington did not have wooden teeth. However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists. Toothbrushes were somewhat new, but rare for most people to use or even own.
