The Board of NMHA and the Trustees of Twin Light Historical Society invite you to celebrate the Art Exhibit "Guns Blazing! The War of 1812 and the New Jersey Shore"
at Twin Lights Historic Lighthouse.
Thursday, October 24th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
single ship vs ship battles between the nascent US Navy and the mighty British Royal Navy. In addition, there are paintings depicting earlier important milestones in the history of the US Navy.
You will also have the rare opportunity of viewing the lights of New York and nearer locations from the headland on which the lighthouse stands (because normally the grounds are closed at 4:30pm each day!).

A 100-page companion guide (value $24.95) is included in the ticket price. This guide includes descriptions of the battles depicted in the paintings, essays on aspects of the war, and other important events.
Single tickets are $40 and include the Program Guide. Couple tickets are $70 and include one Program Guide.
Numbers are limited so Registration and Payment is required on or before October 24th.

Navesink Maritime Heritage Association
Navesink Maritime Heritage Association is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving knowledge and appreciation of Monmouth County's maritime heritage through programs that teach wooden boat building and the boat handling skills; through preserving the history of Monmouth County's wooden boat builders and other maritime history; and through experiential on-the-water programs of River Rangers for middle school children and Sea Scout Ship Navesink for coed youth age 14-21.
