The film’s makers, Scott Morris and Larry Fast will be on hand to introduce the film. After the showing, they will answer questions and discuss making the film.

In 1959, a sparsely populated section of Northern New Jersey was chosen as the site for a new airport. It was to be a massive jetport, covering over 10,000 acres, destroying a major wetland.

It was a vision of progress, promoted by the power brokers of the day: government agencies, industry, and politicians. What they didn’t count on was the opposition of those whose lifestyles would have been wiped out and who had their own definition of progress.

This is the story of a nine-year fight to protect and preserve the Great Swamp that began in a local high school and ended up in the United States Congress.

However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists.
