Camden County - Pennsauken - "Frost on the Pumpkin"

Saturday, November 17 - Pennsauken, Camden County
"Frost on the Pumpkin"

Yes, the frost is on the pumpkin and the fodder's in the shock! The time between the end of harvest and the coming of ice is back and the farm families of the old Morgan house would be looking back with satisfaction on a year of work while making final preparation for winter's coming! So join us at historic Griffith Morgan House for our final regular event of the year with a fire on the hearth and a nostalgic look back at our colonial and rural history! Our hearth cook will be busy using the fruits of autumn to create wholesome dishes while others make the household ready. Tour the historic house and museum with our historically-garbed docents, find out about the history of your community and enjoy a fine autumn day! Admission and parking are free, light refreshments offered, memberships and donations are welcome at all times, talk to us about volunteer opportunities in the new year and also visit Burrough-Dover House open from 12pm to 4pm as well!

Get warm by the hearth while Chris cooks! The Historic Griffith Morgan House in Pennsauken season ending "Frost on the Pumpkin" event will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm. The Griffith Morgan House is located at 243 Griffith Morgan Lane off River Road between the Delair community and Route 73. Visit the Griffith Morgan House or Pennsauken Historical Society Facebook pages or the group “Pennsauken History Forum” on Facebook for more details or directions or call 856-486-9561 and leave a message for more information or e-mail GriffithMorganHouse@yahoo.com.
