Looking for some Tuesday fun by the shore? Stop by Fisherman’s Cove and join a Park System Naturalist and take part in a free seining program to see what creatures may be found swimming along Fisherman’s Cove. Discover a variety of fish, crabs and other sea creatures as we pull in our seine net. Seining portion runs for approximately 30-45 minutes.

Please Note:

• Closed-toe shoes are required.

• The program will not run during inclement weather.

• Parents or guardians are required to stay with and supervise their children.

• No swimming during the event.

• This program is designed for individuals and families. No large groups, please.

Additional Tidal Tuesday Activities

Discover exciting things about nature and our coastal habitats with a fun nature activity before our drop-in seining begins! Each week take part in a different activity such as meeting creatures, taking an educational walk or creating crafts from natural materials found along the shore.

Sessions are free, but due to limited space pre-registration is required.

However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists. Toothbrushes were somewhat new, but rare for most people to use or even own.
