Hand stitch a cap with or for your father at our Historic Arts Workshop. This workshop will be taught by David Niescior, the tailor at the Old Barracks in Trenton. Using period fabric and materials, you will receive one-on-one attention in this project. You will learn all the proper techniques in hand stitching in the 1770s. Men, as well as women, could sew to some degree. Make this cap for your reenacting kit, or just to learn how to make this cap from the expert himself!
David Niescior, M.A. in American History from Rutgers-Camden, is a historical interpreter and tailor at the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, New Jersey, and winner of the 2016 American History Award for graduate study from the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America! The Heritage Trail Association is happy to have David Nescior conduct our second Historic Arts Workshop of 2018.
