President WHO?!!!

Standard programs for Presidents Day most likely include George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. But there are 45 presidents – or is 44? Now it’s time to remember the least known Presidents of the United States. If anything, they at least fill in the holes of American history and you will be able to determine why the above question exists and who caused it! Included in this program are The Hole in the Donut, Benjamin Harrison (pictured); His Accidency John Tyler; Franklin Pierce, who never even knew he was nominated for President until he was told; Chester A. Arthur, a man with zero qualifications, who was nominated for Vice-President solely as a political expediency; and, of course, the ever-popular Millard Fillmore. (Or is it Filmore?)

Rich Rosenthal has lectured on numerous historical subjects, including before the Madison Historical Society. He is president of the North Jersey Civil War Round Table and was one of the founding members, with the pre-eminent New Jersey historian, the late John T. Cunningham, of the North Jersey American Revolution Round Table.
