Death & Disease In The Continental Army

Throughout the American Revolution, almost three times more soldiers died from disease and illness than on the battlefield. Learn about diseases, their transmission, and their treatment in the Continental Army. Find out why soldiers had more to fear from disease, than British musketballs, grapeshot, or the dreaded bayonet!

This free program will take place at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 pm and will be held in the Visitor Center at Jockey Hollow, a unit of Morristown National Historical Park. Jockey Hollow is located at 580 Tempe Wick Road, Morristown NJ (address is approximate). This is a FREE event. For more information, call 973-543-4030 or visit www.nps.gov/morr.
