Middlesex County - Highland Park - "Ruth Gruber: Globe Trotting Journalist and Witness/Chronicler of 20th Century Jewish History"

  The American Jewish Experience Lecture Series, presented by the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey, continues for its 21ST consecutive year with a presentation by Dr. Marcia Midler, entitled, "Ruth Gruber: Globe Trotting Journalist and Witness/Chronicler of 20th Century Jewish History." Ruth Gruber, whose long life spanned most of the twentieth century, was the youngest PhD ever, and went on to become a fearless reporter and author. 

Before leaving academia for a corporate career at AT&T and Telcordia, Dr. Midler taught English at University College, Rutgers. She leads several book discussion groups, lectures frequently, and over ten years ago began a current events group at Regency of Monroe called “News and Views."

   The lecture will be held on Wednesday, October 17th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Highland Park Conservative Temple, 201 South 3rd Avenue, Highland Park. The lecture is open to the public.
