Bergen County - Ho-Ho-Kus - ehind the Scenes Tour of the Hermitage Museum Ho-Ho-Kus


For the first time since opening as a museum, The Hermitage invites the public into its undecorated nooks and crannies, witness to 250 years of history.

The tour will allow guests to explore the stone foundation of the original house where General George Washington and Alexander Hamilton revived themselves between battles in the Revolutionary War -- and where their hostess, Theodosia Prevost, later married Aaron Burr.
