Historical Association of Woodbridge Township Presents……….      
The 1918 Influenza Pandemic/The Spanish Flu of 1918 with speaker Brian Armstrong, author and historian of local history. Mr. Armstrong also is the Vice President, Central Region, for the League of Historical Societies as well as President of the South River Historical and Preservation Society.

    Between 1918-1920, this global specter killed an estimated 50-100 million people worldwide including 675,000 Americans. In his presentation, Brian Armstrong will deliver an overview of the 3 phases of the epidemic, the effect of the disease on the New Jersey-New York Metropolitan era and its impact on the US Healthcare system.
