The Cedar Grove Historical Society presents New Jersey and World War I

Please join the Cedar Grove Historical Society on September 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Public Library when Jon Zinn, an independent historian with a special interest in both New Jersey history and the history of baseball, will present a program entitled New Jersey and World War I. The World War I generation was the first generations of Americans to experience compulsory military service on a large scale. The program will cover the experiences of these young men from the draft, basic training and service on the Western Front with special emphasis on their service and sacrifices in the Meuse Argonne. Included will be a look at some stories about the Cedar Grove men who served. A short business meeting will be held before the program.
