You are invited to attend The American Tour of the Parisian Choir "Les Petits Chanteurs de Nogent-sur-Marne," a choir of 16 talented boys ages 10-18 years old at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit. For over 60 years, the choir has been singing and traveling the world, allowing boys to discover different cultures while sharing their own French heritage through classical music and French folk songs. The choir is under the direction of Francois Olivier, renowned organist of Saint-Eustache Church, Paris.
At 22, François Olivier was the youngest organist to be appointed to the prestigious post of Titular Choir organist in a Paris Church. As a student of Pierre Pincemaille, François graduated with a Master’s Degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne. In addition to his regular position at Saint-Eustache, François has substituted at a majority of the well-known Churches in Paris, accompanied many of the choirs in the city, toured with several different choirs around Europe and beyond, and at 27 was appointed the Music Director of one of Paris’ more famous boys choir, “ Les Moineaux du Val-de-Marne “.
Admission to the concert is by free will offering. A reception to meet the artists will follow the concert. An extraordinary evening of music for all ages not to be missed!
