Wheelman Gary Sanderson has been collecting and refurbishing antique bicycles from the 19th century since 1994 and boasts a collection of almost 200 antique bikes. He is an active Wheelman who enjoys riding long distances on his high wheel bicycle from the 1880s. In 2004, he rode from Perth Amboy, NJ to Newport, Oregon, covering 3,600 miles in 60 days. And in 2006, he rode from Boston to New York City to publicize the first ride around the world in 1894/5 by Annie Londonderry, a Jewish mother from Boston. He will also bring a big wheel bicycle for display.
