Ghost Walks at 8pm on Thursdays in June, July, August & September
  Join local medium Bob Bitting on a 45-minute lantern-lit ghost walk around Historic Cold Spring Village. Bob will regale of the mysterious spectral happenings reported by Village staff and revealed by paranormal investigation teams. Please bring bug spray. No Bite Me Cream will be available for sale. To purchase tickets in advance, please click on the red BOOK NOW button at hcsv.org. Tickets are also available at either gate during operating hours or at Cold Spring Brewery thereafter. Space is limited and advance purchase is strongly encouraged. $16 per person, $14 for HCSV Members and $12 children 3-12 years old. *Weather permitting. Ghost Walk tours start at Cold Spring Brewery 733 Seashore Road.

    Historic Cold Spring Village is a non-profit, open-air living history museum that portrays the daily life of a rural South Jersey community of the Early American period. It features 27 restored historic structures on a 30-acre site. Tuesday through Sunday, from late June to early September, interpreters and artisans in period clothing preserve the trades, crafts and heritage of “the age of homespun.” Fun and educational activities for children are featured Tuesday through Sunday, with special events every weekend through September.

    The Village is located on Route 9, three miles north of Victorian Cape May and a mile and a half west of the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway. Admission during the season is $14 for adults and $12 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are admitted free. Unlimited free admission is available with Village membership. The Village Nature Trail at Bradner’s Run is open to the public for free self-guided tours. Visit the Country Store, Bakery, Ice Cream Parlor, Cold Spring Brewery and Cold Spring Grange Restaurant. Sunday, June 9 – Somerset County Save the Date for a visit with an  18th-Century Surgeon-Dentist      Let us be clear: George Washington did not have wooden teeth. However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists. Toothbrushes were somewhat new, but rare for most people to use or even own.
