Passaic County - Paterson - An Afternoon of Italian Opera Plus: Lyric Soprano Annamaria Stefanelli: Lambert Castle Concert Series


Sunday, July 29 – Passaic County

    On Sunday, July 29th at 5 pm in Lambert Castle (at 3 Valley Road, Paterson NJ) Annamaria Stefanelli and Rory Angelicola return to the Lambert Castle Concert Series and present An Afternoon of Italian Opera Plus. Lyric Soprano Annamaria Stefanelli returns to Lambert Castle with Tenor Rory Angelicola in a program filled with a variety of operatic and classical favorites, including arias and duets by Puccini and Verdi. The second half of the program will also include some classical American favorites, including If I Loved You and Shenandoah. Admission to the concert is $15. Seating is limited, no reservations will be taken.

    This performance is a part of the 2018 Lambert Castle Concert Series. Featuring local musicians and a variety of musical genres, all concerts are performed in the beautiful atmosphere that is Lambert Castle. Check our website for a complete listing of performances and dates.

Sunday, June 9 – Somerset County Save the Date for a visit with an  18th-Century Surgeon-Dentist      Let us be clear: George Washington did not have wooden teeth. However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists. Toothbrushes were somewhat new, but rare for most people to use or even own.
