Michael E. Newton continues to present new discoveries regarding the life of Alexander Hamilton, his family, friends, and colleagues. A number of recent discoveries by Michael E. Newton directly tie to the blockbuster musical “Alexander Hamilton: An American Musical.” In “Alexander Hamilton: Son of a Whore?” Mr. Newton will present newly discovered court records from St. Croix, which have been translated from the old Gothic Danish script, that exposes the basis of that claim against Hamilton’s mother, records that have remained hidden for over 250 years!
As a leading national scholar on Alexander Hamilton, Michael E. Newton has an impressive record of revealing new discoveries, debunking previously held myths, and objectively analyzing the historical record on Alexander Hamilton, his youth, and the American Revolution. Mr. Newton is the author of the highly acclaimed book Alexander Hamilton: The Formative Years, the most extensive, detailed, and accurate record of the first half of Alexander Hamilton’s life (1757-82).
