Middlesex County - Highland Park - "Finding Uncle Harry"

Wednesday, July 18 – Middlesex County

The American Jewish Experience Lecture Series, presented by the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey, continues for its 21st consecutive year with a presentation by Jack Feinstein, entitled, "Finding Uncle Harry." Jack Feinstein was five years old when his great uncle Harry came from London on the SS Queen Elizabeth in 1948 to visit his two daughters who had married US servicemen at the end of WWII. Some 20 years ago he started his search to find the sisters only knowing they had settled in California. His presentation will discuss the outcome of his quest and what others can learn from his experience.

The lecture will be held on Wednesday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. at the Highland Park Conservative Temple, 201 South 3rd Avenue, Highland Park.  Open to the public. A donation of $2.00 is requested at the door. For more information call the JHSCJ office at 732-249-4894 or email at INFO.JHSCJ@gmail.com. Jack Feinstein is a 1965 graduate of the City College of New York with a BE degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer (retired) in the State of New Jersey and a senior life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

The Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey promotes and preserves all facets of the American Jewish experience, with emphasis on the Jewish community of central New Jersey. The Society’s extensive archival holdings are available to researchers. The collections include documents from religious, social, educational, and community organizations, as well as individual family records.
