The Prophetic Quest: Stained Glass Art of Jacob Landau with David Herrstrom

Jacob Landau’s powerful ten-window stained glass art The Prophetic Quest will be discussed by David Herrstrom, President of the Jacob Landau Institute, in an illustrated lecture.
Landau, an artist who lived most of his adult life in Roosevelt, NJ, is best known for his portrayal of the challenges of the 20th century including the Great Depression, WWII, Hiroshima and the Holocaust. Herrstrom’s illustrated lecture features Landau’s stained glass creations for Keneseth Israel synagogue, Elkins Park, PA, said to explore God’s demand that human beings live justly, and the human struggle to comprehend the roots of evil and suffering.
