Star-Spangled Sing Along - A patriotic event to celebrate July 4th! 
Time: 3:00pm – 5:00pm   Admission: Free

    Piscataway Twp. elementary & high school students sing traditional 18th century-present-day American Patriotic songs. Sing “Happy Birthday” to America and enjoy birthday cake to celebrate America’s 243rd birthday! Under a tent. Bring lawn chairs! No rain date; no museum tours.

The museum’s large collection of artifacts with Central NJ provenance illustrates its theme, From Indian Trail to Interstate, by focusing on how transportation affected the area's society and economics.

18th Century Ice Cream Making & Tasting. An interactive program for children and adults!
Time: 2:00 pm –4:00 pm Admission: Free
Presenter: Susan McLellan Plaisted, Culinary Historian

From harvesting (crushing) ice to the molding of ice cream, learn how ice cream was made in the 18th century using a reproduction 18th-century sabotiere. The 18th-century flavor from an original receipt (recipe) will be replicated and samples given out. Did you know? Ice cream was George Washington’s favorite dessert!

   Directions to entrance & parking: From River Rd., turn onto Hillcrest Dr. At top of Hillcrest, left onto Logan Ln. Proceed to the upper parking area (a cul-de-sac). Museum entrance & limited handicap parking (call ahead)at the bottom of the hill. On July 4tha shuttle will be provided from East Jersey Old Town.
