Visitors will have the opportunity to walk the streets of this historic model company town-one of the most intact and successful historic towns, built as employee housing, remaining in America. They will also have the unique opportunity to visit a number of homes and historic buildings throughout the village, providing an inside view of how employees and their families lived, and the exquisite architecture, design and detail that made the homes so welcoming.

The museum has arranged for private village homes to be opened to the public. For a ticket price of $20 ($15 if purchased in advance), visitors may tour the decorated homes, the Roebling Museum, and the Roebling Auditorium between 12:00 pm. and 5:00 pm. Tickets for the tour will be available at the museum. Children under 12 are not permitted on the house tour.

Light refreshments will be served.

$15.00 if purchased in advance (tickets purchased in advance may be picked up at the Museum on the day of the tour)

Advance tickets sales will end on December 7 at 5:00 pm. Advance tickets may be purchased on our web-site or in person. You may also pay by credit card over the phone by calling 609-499-7200.

Sunday, June 9 – Somerset County Save the Date for a visit with an  18th-Century Surgeon-Dentist      Let us be clear: George Washington did not have wooden teeth. However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists.
