Gaia's Way and Sustainable Historic Renovation
Talk, Tour & Mingle -- 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Join the Lambertville Historical Society for a tour of the extraordinary Richard Holcombe farmstead—now called Gaia’s Way—which dates to 1744 and is currently under renovation. The owners, construction manager and materials specialist Lia Nielsen and architect
Jason Kliwinski will discuss this complex project, their vision of “sustainable historic restoration,” and their plans to transform this abandoned property back into a local gem. And they will guide us through the 3,000-square-foot house, two barns and other outbuildings, and around the grounds.
After the tour, we will enjoy beverages and snacks on the porch and mingle.
Parking is free and on the grounds. This property is on River Road (aka Daniel Bray Highway) just north of Route 202 on the right. Rain date is 9/21 1:00-3:00 pm.
This event is for LHS members (free) and their guests ($5).
