FEASTING ON HISTORY- THE 19th ANNUAL RESTAURANT GALA AND CAPE MAY COUNTY’S PREMIER NETWORKING AT NAVAL AIR STATION WILDWOOD
TUESDAY, MAY 7th 6pm-9pm

Did you know that when you attend Feasting on History you are supporting one museum and enjoying the other?

Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum is a non-profit museum located at the Cape May Airport inside historic Hangar #1. Commissioned in April 1943, NASW served as an active dive-bomber squadron training facility during World War II. Today, Hangar #1 has been restored and transformed into an Aviation Museum that houses a number of aircraft, engines, special exhibits, and educational interactive displays. While at Feasting on History be sure to check out the newest NASW acquisition, Nieuport II Homebuilt World War 1 replica aircraft. Also referred to as the "Mighty Mouse,” this plane was donated by Christine Haury. The Nieuport II is the plane that France supplied to the American volunteers of the “Lafayette Escadrille” squadron N-124 in the early days of WW-1.

Feasting on History supports the village and its mission of historic preservation, history education and heritage tourism. This season we are highlighting the Spicer Leaming House which was built in the 1800s. In 1977 The house was acquired by Historic Cold Spring Village and moved from the Cape May Canal area.

Proceeds from the 19th Annual Restaurant Gala will be used as matching funds for a Cape May Country Open Space Grant to restore the Spicer Leaming House.

Tickets to Feasting on History are $85 per person, or $800 for a table of ten with advanced sale only. Seating will only be reserved for groups of ten guests. For all other guests there will be open seating. For tickets or sponsorship information, please contact Sandy Nickel at (609) 898-2300, ext. 11 or by e-mail at snickel@hcsv.org.
