A History of Submarine Warfare Along the Jersey Shore
    Author Joe Bilby, Director of the National Guard Armory Museum in Sea Girt will present the maritime history of the New Jersey coast; from an attempt at submarine warfare in 1776 to U-boats off the Jersey coast during World War II. In his book, A History of Submarine Warfare along the Jersey Shore, Joe relates the successes and failures of those early vessels, including John Holland’s craft, tested in the Passaic River and adopted by the U.S. Navy. Please join us for this fascinating story.
