An Evening with Spirit - Presented by the Lacey Historical Society

    On Saturday, April 4th, the Lacey Historical Society will host a fundraising event featuring psychic medium and paranormal investigator, Leslie Lagani. Leslie will utilize her mediumistic abilities to facilitate communication from those on the other side. The program will take place at 7:00 pm at the Lacey Historical Society Schoolhouse, 126 Main Street, Forked River. The cost of admittance is $35pp at the door.  Reservation required. Call 609-971-0467 (Please speak clearly) or e-mail laceytwphistoricalsociety@gmail.com leaving your name, phone number as well as the number of people in your party. Your reservation will be acknowledged. The door opens at 6:30 pm. Light refreshments served.

    During this gallery-style event, you will hear healing messages from loved ones and friends. Come open-minded in expanding your current understanding of what happens when the physical body ceases, and the spiritual body is released into a realm of love and light. There will also be a Q & A where you can ask questions about Mediumship, and the afterlife, Leslie’s work or any other thoughts you may have. Not everyone is guaranteed a connection, but Leslie’s goal is to send you onward with the hope and understanding that there is a life afterlife. This event will raise much-needed funds for the Lacey Historical Society, so please come out to show your support.

Sunday, June 9 – Somerset County Save the Date for a visit with an  18th-Century Surgeon-Dentist      Let us be clear: George Washington did not have wooden teeth. However, he did have dental problems through most of his adult life, as did many 18th-century folk of both high and low social class. There were no regular visits to dentists, with tooth brushing and flossing in between at that time.  There weren't even dentists as we know them today. Dentistry was only just evolving as a separate profession through the eighteenth century. Barber-surgeons or surgeon-dentists provided many more services than our modern dentists. Toothbrushes were somewhat new, but rare for most people to use or even own.
