*New Jersey - Online - The Contributions of the Men of New Jersey to the Women’s Suffrage Movement

On May 28, 2020, the Alice Paul Institute hosted Lisa Hendrickson, an independent historian and board member of the Alice Paul Institute, for an engaging virtual presentation exploring the contributions of the men of New Jersey to the women’s suffrage movement. In her talk, Hendrickson highlighted the interesting stories of how men connected with the movement. Interestingly, many became involved through their marriages to active suffragists, and others joined the movement because of their personal belief in the need for women's voting rights.

Lisa's talk also included inspiring quotes from Fredrick Douglas, Thomas Edison, and Theodore Roosevelt. To view the recording of Lisa's talk on men in the women's suffrage movement, click here.
